The excellent blessing that the Lord has given us is the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Only those who have received this noble experience are the shining lights of this world today. It is the will of the Lord that you too would receive this experience and blessing. In many ways, man goes about to collect gold, wealth, materials and riches of the world. But he does not know that all these things cannot accompany him when he leaves this world. At the same time, the mighty anointing from above that we receive shall change us into children of light in this world. It would also give us the heavenly life. |
For power |

He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, "which," He said, "you have heard from Me” (Acts 1:5).
Dearly beloved, the Lord advises you who are weary of waiting for worldly blessings by saying, ‘avoid committing yourself to all unwanted things and instead keep everything at the feet of God and spend time with Him and tarry with Him just as the apostles waited on that day for the anointing. ‘Continue with one accord in prayer and supplication’ (Acts 1:14).
Yes, in these last days, anointing is highly essential for overcoming all evil struggles, problems and sickness. Commit yourself to wait and receive that power.
Acts 2:1-4 says that when the apostles thus dedicated themselves and waited on the Lord, they received mighty anointing and fire of the Lord. |
For Guidance |
As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, "Now separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them." (Acts 13:2).
My dear brother and sister, when we are babies, our parents give us what we want and bring us up. When we are children, they hold our hands and lead us. When we become young, we desire to attain what all our heart, eyes and flesh desire. When we try to put into practice this, we get caught up in things that are displeasing to the Lord.
It is essential for every child of God to have God’s guidance. Those who do not know this undergo much agony and suffering. In the above verse, we see that the apostles fasted and prayed. When they thus prayed in the Spirit, they came to know of the Lord’s guidance.
Dear child of God, God’s guidance is very, very essential in your life. Only the Holy Spirit can help you know future plans concerning your education, job, marriage and other such things. Please do not lean on your own understanding but know the guidance of God and act accordingly. You shall know who the Lord is. You will not hesitate to tell others about Him.
‘For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God’ (Romans 8:14). |
